Terms of service

StudCut is an editing service for people who make Roblox videos. It is run by StudCut. You can reach us any time at hello@studcut.com.

These terms, together with our privacy policy, are the agreement between you and us. By creating an account or paying for a plan, you accept them.

• You must be at least 18, or at least 13 with a parent or guardian who agrees to these terms and pays for you.
• Children under 13 can't have an account.
• Keep your login details private. You're responsible for what happens on your account.

You upload raw footage with a short brief. We edit it into a finished long-form video plus 3 vertical Shorts and deliver them to your dashboard.

• Editing is done mainly by automated software, including AI models, guided by your brief and your channel's style.
• Each video can use up to 2 hours of raw footage, edited into a video of up to 15 minutes. A single upload can be up to 60 GB.
• Turnaround times (72 hours for the trial and Starter, 48 hours for Growth and Creator Pro) are targets, not guarantees. If a video is running late, your dashboard will say so and you can email us.
• We don't upload anything to your YouTube or social accounts. You stay in control of what you post.

• Monthly plans: Starter ($49, 4 videos), Growth ($75, 8 videos), Creator Pro ($119, 15 videos). The trial edit is a single payment of $10 for one video.
• Prices are in US dollars. Your bank may add currency conversion fees.
• Monthly plans renew automatically each month on the date you first paid, until you cancel. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details.
• Your video allowance resets on each renewal date. Unused videos don't roll over. Videos that fail and uploads you cancel don't count towards your allowance.
• If we change our prices, we'll email you at least 30 days before the new price applies to you.

• You can cancel any time from Billing in your dashboard. Your plan stays active until the end of the month you've paid for, and you won't be charged again.
• 14-day cooling-off period. If you're a consumer in the UK or EU, you can cancel within 14 days of your first payment for a refund. By uploading footage you ask us to start work straight away, so if you cancel within those 14 days we'll refund what you paid minus a fair amount for any videos already delivered (the plan price divided by the videos it includes, for each one).
• If we can't deliver. If we can't edit a video you uploaded, it won't count towards your allowance. If that happens to your trial edit, we'll refund it in full.
• Otherwise, we don't give refunds for part-used months.
• To ask for a refund, email hello@studcut.com. Refunds go back to the card you paid with, usually within 10 days.

Each video includes revision rounds: 1 on the trial, 2 on Starter, 2 on Growth and 3 on Creator Pro. A revision is a change to the edit we delivered, in line with your original brief. Brand-new footage or a completely different brief counts as a new video.

• You own your footage and the finished videos and Shorts we make from it.
• You give us permission to store, process and edit your footage only so we can provide the service to you.
• We won't post your videos anywhere or use them in our marketing unless you give us permission in writing.
• We don't use your footage or videos to train AI models.
• You confirm you have the right to use everything you upload, including other people's voices or faces and any music you added yourself.

Any music or sound effects we add come from libraries licensed for use in YouTube videos on your channel. If a video gets a copyright claim because of something we added, tell us and we'll replace it as a free revision.

• Anything illegal, or anything that sexualises or endangers children.
• Hate speech, harassment, threats or content that targets a real person.
• Other people's private information without their permission.
• Footage you don't have the right to use.

We can refuse to edit a video, remove content and suspend or close accounts that break these rules. Where the law requires it, we report illegal content to the authorities.

• We provide the service with reasonable care and skill.
• We aren't responsible for how your videos perform, or for decisions YouTube or other platforms make about your channel, unless they're caused by something we did wrong.
• If we're responsible for a loss, our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 3 months before it happened.
• Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit. Your legal rights as a consumer are not affected.

You can close your account at any time by emailing hello@studcut.com. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we'll tell you why. What happens to your data is explained in our privacy policy.

We may update these terms as StudCut grows. If a change matters, we'll email you before it takes effect. The date at the top shows when they last changed.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you're a consumer, you can bring a claim in the courts where you live, and you keep any protections the law of your country gives you. If something goes wrong, please email us first. Most problems can be fixed quickly.
